Casie Brittain
MSW, LCSW, RPT-S
Children's Play Therapy
Casie Brittain is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services across a variety of clinical settings. She specializes in working with children and families in outpatient care, utilizing play therapy as a primary modality to support emotional regulation, behavioral development, and relational healing.
Casie’s clinical approach is grounded in a bottom-up brain development model, emphasizing the importance of the nervous system and sensory integration in a child’s ability to regulate, connect, and learn. She integrates movement-based, sensory-informed, and experiential interventions into the playroom, helping children build foundational regulation skills before higher-level cognitive and behavioral expectations are introduced. Her work reflects a strong understanding that what often appears as “behavior” is more accurately a reflection of underlying nervous system dysregulation.
In addition to her clinical work, Casie develops and presents continuing education trainings for mental health professionals seeking licensure and advanced clinical skills. She also provides clinical supervision for individuals seeking both LCSW and Registered Play Therapist credentials through the Association for Play Therapy. Her training and supervision work emphasize the integration of neuroscience, play therapy theory, and practical, play-based interventions.
Casie’s professional background includes crisis response, school-based consultation, outpatient therapy, and leadership roles in both clinical and administrative settings. She has extensive experience supporting dysregulated children in classroom environments and training educators and caregivers to respond through a regulation-first lens.
She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and is committed to providing compassionate, developmentally informed care that meets children where they are—helping them build the skills necessary for long-term emotional and behavioral success.
